Welcome to my blog! I hope you enjoy reading it.
My shadow name is Mrumia. In the picture, I was standing on a small path, in a beautiful garden, next to a river. I was born in a small city south of Jakarta. The city has now developed into a messy city, full of ‘angkot’ and dust. I have been in England for five of the last six years, pursuing a degree, studying economics. I love this country, though as not as much as I love Indonesia, because England has allowed me to enjoy great books, good tv and inspiring newspapers. My favorite tv programme is BBC’s question time. My favorite newspaper is the Guardian, and my favorite time is Sunday morning with the Observer. My favorite book is Annamarie Schimmel’s on Rumi. I was deeply touched when I read this. I was stunned by the greatness of Rumi, as he had already found his path to the source. He eloquently says: “Whoever travels without a guide needs two hundreds years for a two-day journey”.

Though we don’t have habits to update each other so often (too bad!) … but i believe each of us always have special place in our heart, mind and sould …
could feel all your thoughts and feelings through this blog … and that what matters to me !
It was in 2000 when we were in London pursuing the master degree at the “bloody” LSE. I always believe that you’re able to reach the top (…well, now you’re at the highest ranked university).
Good luck to you and your family.
Masih ingat saya dulu sempet jagain si kecil dan membiarkan diapersnya yang penuh sampai kering hehehehe…..
love your writing.
love your thoughts.
and she has made me laughed with her comment on the indonesian little fishes.
tell her that the fishes here are smaller because when they swim, they have to swim through the rubbish … and they’re stressed out and they lose weight faster.
